Flooding has historically and consistently affected the Flat Creek project area, causing damage to residences and disrupting major transportation routes. The current stormwater system level of service is less than the 2-year storm, and recurring flood conditions have required emergency response actions such as barricading roads and supporting resident evacuations. In addition to documented historical flooding, vulnerability analysis indicates that a meaningful share of residential parcels face high flood risk and that roadway flooding can isolate residents during severe weather events. The Town is advancing this project to reduce flood hazard exposure through engineered improvements that increase drainage capacity and lower water surface elevations during storm events-protecting public health and safety, reducing future damages, and improving community resiliency. Question deadline(March 13, 2026) was closed so unable to add the event. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Request for Proposal for design services is underway
