The Hawaii Department of Transportation, Airports seeks the services of qualified architectural and/or engineering firms to provide design services for the Terminal 3 at South Ramp project at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The professional services categories involved include architectural (except landscape) design services and engineering design services. The project scope involves the conversion of an existing two-story building into a permanent commuter terminal for multiple air carriers. The building will be renovated to accommodate the required passenger terminal functions for both departure and arrival operations, inclusive of areas for check-in and ticketing, outbound baggage handling, holdroom seating, ground level aircraft gates, concessions, restrooms, and baggage claim. The scope of work will also include providing back-of-house support spaces for the airlines, such as offices, storage, staff lockers/restrooms and/or breakrooms. The project shall provide all utility infrastructure improvements necessary to support the full operation of this new facility, modifications to the parking lot to ensure public safety, wayfinding signage, and other miscellaneous improvements. The airside scope of work includes renovation of existing hangars and the construction of two new aircraft parking aprons. New facilities shall be designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification to the maximum extent feasible.
