The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) is requesting proposals for the recovery sand from within the swim basins and placing the sand along the shoreline of Kuhio Beach, Waikiki. Kuhio Beach Restoration Small Scale Beach Nourishment, Oahu, Hawaii 1. The Request for Proposals (RFP), plans, specifications, DLNR Interim General Conditions, and 103D-1 General Conditions are attached as PDF files. 2. Contract start and end dates are only estimates and will vary depending on Notice to Proceed date and construction duration. 3. All questions will be addressed via addendum. Due date to Submit Questions : 04/10/2026 The project objective is to restore Kuhio Beach by making the beach wider and higher. To achieve this, submerged sand from within the swim basins of Kuhio Beach (Diamond Head and Ewa Basins) will be recovered and placed along the shoreline according to the attached project plans and specifications.
