Site work for a water / sewer project in Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project involves improvements to two separate existing Township-owned stormwater facilities to provide water quality benefits to the receiving stream (Towamencin Creek). The facilities are each located within the Grist Mill residential development in Towamencin Township. The work will involve the replacement of outlet culverts, the modification of outlet structures, and the regrading of the basins. All bids must include lump sum or unit prices to be considered for award by the Township, at their option, after review of the bid amounts. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Amount made payable to the Township. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act apply if the estimated cost is in excess of $25,000. The successful bidder shall pay no less than the wage rates determined for the project area. The successful bidder must ensure all employees, subcontractors, and applicants for employment are not discriminated against and are legally authorized to work in the United States. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate bonds with corporate surety, irrevocable letters of credit, or restrictive/escrow accounts, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, to secure performance, maintenance, and prompt payment of materials and labor. All applicable provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act must be strictly adhered to on this project. Bids must be accompanied by a completed Bid Form, Bidder's Qualification Statement, electronic copy of Bid Bond, executed Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Public Works Verification Form. Failure to submit an Affidavit with the bid proposal may result in disqualification of the bid.
