Tredyffrin Township will receive bids from pre-qualified contractors for Janitorial Services for the Tredyffrin and Paoli libraries for a period of twenty-four months. Each bid must be submitted electronically and must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the amount of ten percent of the total amount bid. The Bid Guarantee must be in the form of cash, corporate bid bond, bank check, cashier’s check, or treasurer’s check, drawn to the order of Tredyffrin Township. Personal checks or non-certified corporate checks are not acceptable forms of bid security. The surety firm must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A scanned copy of the bid guarantee must be submitted electronically. Bid packages including the Proposal Form, General Conditions, Special Provisions, and Specifications may be obtained on the PennBid website. All workers must be paid general minimum Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Tredyffrin Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof and to determine whether the quality and type of equipment or service to be furnished meets requirements. The Township further reserves the right to insist or waive any technicalities and to consider the competency and responsibility of the bidder before awarding the contract.
