Project Overview The purpose of this project is to construct a bathroom to ensure full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, installing ADA meeting room door and replacement of gym door. The renovation will improve accessibility, safety, and usability for individuals with disabilities, aligning with local building codes and ADA guidelines. 2. Objectives o Construct a bathroom that will be a unisex ADA-compliant facility. o Installing ADA meeting room door o Replacement ofinside gym door o Enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities through barrier-free design. o Construct/ Install fixtures, finishes, and features to meet ADA requirements. o Ensure the work is completed within budget and the specified timeline. ADA Bathroom 3.1. Demolition and Preparation o Remove existing non-compliant fixtures, door, partitions, and flooring. o Prepare walls, floors, and plumbing systems for the new layout. o Dispose of all debris in accordance with local environmental regulations. 3.2. Structural Modifications o Construct doorway and install door to meet ADA standards. o ADA compliant door and handles. ADA automatic door opener and push buttons. o Adjust wall framing as necessary to accommodate grab bars, sinks, and other fixtures. o Construct wall framing and other design additions as stated in the designs. o Ensure floor leveling for a smooth, non-slip surface. o Install drywall on walls and ceiling. o Apply gray paint on walls. o Apply white paint to ceiling. 3.3. Plumbing o Locate and install fixtures (toilets, sinks) at ADA-compliant heights. o Install faucets with touchless operation. o Ensure proper insulation of pipes to prevent contact burns. 3.4. The selected contractor will be responsible for: Managing the project from start to finish. 2. Constructing the ADA bathroom, installing ADA meeting room door and gym door replacement in accordance with the design by the Borough Engineer. 3. Contractor shall supply all materials. 4. Applying for the required permits. 5. Supplying all necessary materials, fixtures, and equipment. 6. Performing all labor to fully construct the ADA-compliant bathroom, ADA meeting room door and gym door replacement incorporating the client's specified design features.
