The work includes placing approximately 3.5 miles of ultrathin bonded asphalt wearing surface (UBAWS), Type C, for the purpose of pavement preservation on two segments of Old Lemay Ferry Road and on Little Brennan Road. The contract also covers striping, rumble strips, and traffic control. Work must adhere to provided Specifications, Job Special Provisions, and Plans, as well as the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction and MoDOT Standard Plans for Highway Construction. All work must be completed by the stipulated deadline. Bids must be submitted in triplicate, in an opaque sealed envelope, with the project title, bidder's name and address, and all required documents. Electronic or late bids will not be accepted. All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List, with the contractor questionnaire on file at least 7 days before bid opening. All contractors and subcontractors are required to provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program for on-site employees within 60 days of beginning work. A cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of 5% and a certificate of insurance must be submitted with each proposal. Bids should be made on provided forms, with three copies submitted, one with original ink. Bidders must check for addenda, complete the Plan Holder Contact Information form, and request placement on the bidder's list. All labor must be paid at least the prevailing wage as set by the State of Missouri Annual Wage Order. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids or waive informality.
