Location of contract work includes, but is not limited to, county buildings near or within the City of Hillsboro, and various properties within Jefferson County not limited to the City of Hillsboro area. The proposed service is for testing and/or remediation services. Contract work could include, but is not limited to, professional testing; remediation services for, but not limited to: asbestos, mold, water damage, biohazard, smoke or fire, and other needs as required; and all applicable labor, materials, disposal, and equipment. Hours of service are typically Monday through Friday, with hours to be discussed per job request. Evening and weekend work may be permitted or requested on a project-by-project basis. All work must be done in accordance with the best trade practices, safety regulations for the protection of workers, county employees, and property, and all applicable state and local laws, ordinances, and codes. Letters of interest should not exceed four pages total. Three copies of the letter should be received at the specified address and by the specified date/time. The letter should include information to aid in the selection process, such as company experience, history, testimonials, certifications of the company or persons at the company, and recent examples of work performed by the company in the requested services. Jefferson County will evaluate companies based on experience and competence, the capacity of the company to perform the work in the needed timeframe, and the company’s past record of performance. Evaluation will be scored as follows: Experience and Competence – 30 points, Capacity and Capability – 30 points, Past Record of Performance – 40 points, for a total of 100 points.
