The project is generally described as the replacement of existing cell lights with new lights and pull switches, and the removal and patching of existing small lights at sinks. This work occurs for 344 cells. Scope of Work: o Remove and dispose of old fluorescent light fixtures. o Remove, abandon, and dispose of old small light fixtures over sink area. o Terminate wires from old small light fixtures in accordance with NEC. o Patch holes from old small light fixtures with hydraulic cement or equivalent. o Field or shop prep new LED fixture with switch and pull string. o Switches shall be mounted on the side of the fixture that allows it to be on the bunk bed side of the fixture. o Discard factory screws and secure light fixture lid with steel pop rivets. o Securely install new LED fixtures in same location as the old fixtures. o Apply pick-proof caulking on all edges of the fixtures where they meet wall and ceiling (Surebond SB-190 or equivalent).
