Florence 1 Schools is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified, locally based (within Florence County), licensed vendors to provide Substitute Custodial Services on an as-needed basis at designated school properties and district facilities. The services include general cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care (including buffing and spot cleaning); trash removal and recycling collection; restroom sanitation and restocking of supplies (soap, paper towels, tissue); cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces (desks, door handles, railings, etc.); setup and breakdown for school events or activities as needed; light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting maintenance issues; and emergency cleaning services (e.g., spills, bodily fluids, weather-related incidents). Additional sites may be included as needed. Offers must be received from qualified, properly licensed vendors and submitted via the specified online portal before the stated deadline. All bid/proposal sheets and forms must be executed and submitted as instructed. Proposals not submitted through the designated portal will be rejected unless otherwise specified. The district assumes no responsibility for incorrect submissions. All amendments and interpretations must be in writing, and any discrepancies or questions about the proposal documents should be addressed in writing within the specified timeframe. Prices must be firm if accepted by the school district, and all bid items are expected to be new and in first-class condition. The district reserves the right to call for representative samples and to declare the awarded contract null and void should the vendor become unable to comply with bid requirements. Bid/proposal, amendments, or withdrawal requests received after the advertised time will be void.
