Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Sparta, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Remove both single span bridges and replace them with single span PPC Deck beam bridges. The bridges are located over Mary's River and a tributary to Mary's River. Project Location: Two bridges - 1.5 miles east and 1.55 miles east of IL 154 on Moffat Rd. Proposals requiring prequalification of bidders will be issued only to those contractors who are qualified with the Department of Transportation. Prequalification forms may be secured from the Engineer of Construction, Administration Building, 2300 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL 62764.
