**As of May 14, 2026, the project was awarded to Southeastern Sealcoating Inc., with an awarded amount of $326,741.80** This project involves the replacement of storm pipe along 5th Ave S from 32nd St to 33rd St as well as other minor drainage repairs and improvements. The approximate primary quantities for the project include: 550 linear feet of 36" RCP, 100 linear feet of 18" RCP, 5 inlets, 3 manholes, 500 cubic yards of roadway backfill, and roadway patching. Type of work: new and replacements of storm sewer pipe, new and replacements of inlets and manholes, street patching. Contract time: 60 Calendar Days Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "5th Ave S at 32nd St S - Drainage Improvements" on the outside of each envelope Bids must be sealed and will be accepted until the designated bid opening time. It is the responsibility of the bidders to ensure their bids are received on time. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of the bid, with a maximum of $10,000, and payable to the City. A performance bond and payment bond, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder.
