Site work for a transportation facility in Owls Head, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and transportation facility.

Sealed bids are requested for Airport Improvements at the Knox County Regional Airport to include the reconstruction of approximately 8,900 square yards of the terminal apron (Phase 2) and the rehabilitation of the terminal apron (12,800 SY Base Bid and 5,700 SY Alternate 1). Bid security of at least five percent of the total bid must be provided, either as a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond from a surety authorized to do business in Maine. The successful bidder is required to furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Labor and Materials Payment Bond and must begin contract execution within five calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The project is funded by a Federal Grant through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and must adhere to all U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Maine Department of Transportation regulations. Federal contract requirements included are Buy American Preferences, Civil Rights - Title VI Assurances, Davis-Bacon Act, Debarment and Suspension, Lobbying Federal Employees, Recovered Materials, and compliance with minimum wage standards set by the U.S. Department of Labor. The County of Knox practices nondiscrimination in contracts and encourages participation from businesses of all sizes and ownership types. All bidders and their subcontractors must comply with trade restriction certifications, prohibitions on certain unmanned aircraft systems, and report any changes in certification status immediately. The right to reject any or all bids or waive deficiencies is reserved by the Knox County Regional Airport. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Solicitation Language (Solicitations with no DBE Contract Goal): The requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 including any amendments thereto apply to this contract. It is the policy of the County of Knox to practice nondiscrimination based on race, color, sex, or national origin in the award or performance of this contract. The Owner encourages participation by all firms qualifying under this solicitation regardless of business size or ownership.
