The proposed work includes rehabilitating the General Aviation (GA) apron, hangar taxilanes, access road, and parking lots, including milling, crack repair, asphalt overlay, and pavement markings. Additionally, the work includes widening the existing hangar taxilane. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price, executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in North Dakota, payable to the Mandan Airport Authority. If the bid is accepted and the contract is awarded, the principal must, within ten days after the Notice of Award, execute a contract and provide the required contractor's bond. The bid security of the two lowest bidders will be retained until the Notice of Award has been executed, but no longer than 90 days. A copy of the bidder's North Dakota Contractor's License or latest renewal certificate must be included in the Bid Bond envelope. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. The successful Bidder will also need to obtain a statement from the Office of the State Tax Commissioner showing all taxes due to the State of North Dakota have been paid before executing the contract. The Owner reserves the right to hold all bids for 90 days following the bid opening, to reject any and all bids and waive defects, and to accept any bids deemed in the public good. The Owner also reserves the right to reject the bid of any party delinquent or unfaithful in the performance of any previous contract.
