Perform construction and repair of surfaced areas, including asphalt and cement concrete pavements, gravel and earth surfaces, and associated structures and appurtenances. Work includes paved and unpaved roadways, trails, shoulders, parking areas, sidewalks, curbs, vehicle storage and staging yards, maintenance and supply yards, and bridges. Perform associated tasks involving the relocation and repair of utility distribution systems affected by the surfaced-area work, including exterior water and sewer piping systems connected to buildings, structures, and grounds. Conduct construction and repairs on Army airfield pavement in accordance with applicable reports, TE-03 specifications, and requirements identified by Directorate of Public Works inspectors. Construction, repair methods, and scheduling will require Government approval and coordination with Airfield Operations, and the contractor may be required to maintain operational airfield conditions throughout performance. Work zones are structured using unit costs based on 10-mile radii measured from the origin point at the center of the roadway on SR-199 at the installation boundary east of the Main Gate. All work must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements described in the Statement of Work, TE-01 Contract Line Items, and TE-02 Standard Specifications Book Rev 9.
