Joplin Schools is soliciting sealed bids for electrical work for HVAC installation at Cecil Floyd Elementary , 2201 West 24th Street; situated in Joplin, Missouri.. Bid packets are available at Joplin Schools, 1301 S Picher Ave, Joplin, MO, or online at www.joplinschools.org. Bids must be submitted by mail, in person drop off, or email to sealedbid@joplinschools.org until 10:00AM, April 14, 2026. No bids will be accepted after that time. This project at Cecil Floyd Elementary, 2201 W 24th Street, Joplin, MO 64804, will include all materials, labor, and any other costs involved with providing and connecting power to the new HVAC system that is being installed concurrent with this project. This will include roof installed VRF units and the cassettes inside the building. Diagrams are included as to the locations of all units and minimum ampacities. A minimum of 12AWG wire is required and adherence to current Joplin City electrical code. All power for room cassettes will need to be installed in EMT to each room. MC can be used inside the room to each cassette. Roof top power is expected to be reusable for the new units with the exception of one DOA on the south west end of the building that engineering has yet to determine the location of. Work is scheduled to begin on May 26, 2026, and must be completed by July 31, 2026.
