Sealed proposals will be received for furnishing all labor and materials necessary for the construction of Industrial Park Elevated Storage Tank Interior Painting, all in accordance with specifications on file. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested and must be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award. The form provided for "Bidders Proof of Responsibility" shall be completed and returned not less than five (5) calendar days before the date of bid opening. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance as enumerated in the specifications. The utility reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid considered most advantageous. The Industrial Park Elevated Storage Tank of 0.75 million gallon capacity is hereinafter referred to as the Industrial Park Storage Tank. A. The BASE BID project consists of the complete paint removal and recoating of the interior of the Industrial Park Storage Tank with an Epoxy/Urethane System. The work is located at 4504 64th Avenue in Kenosha, Wisconsin. B. The BASE BID scope of Work includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, scaffolding (if needed), and equipment for the following major items of Work for the Industrial Park Storage Tank: 1. Complete paint removal and recoating of the interior; Touch-up of weld burns on tank exterior; 2. Repair of any exterior paint damaged during the project; 3. Clean and disinfect the interior of the tank upon completion of Work; 4. Any turf restoration necessary due to damage by the Contractor or their equipment. C. SUPPLEMENTAL ITEMS, if ordered by the Engineer in writing as additional Work include but are not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, scaffolding (if needed), and equipment for the following items of Work for the Industrial Park Storage Tank: 1. Epoxy pit filler and surfacer; 2. Pit filling by welding; 3. Seam sealing; 4. Complete paint removal and coating of the interior of the West Surge Tank at the Water Production Plant (100 51st Place, Kenosha, Wisconsin 53140). The work on the Industrial Park Elevated Storage Tank shall commence no earlier than May 11th, 2026 and shall be complete within 90 calendar days or November 30, 2026, whichever is earlier.
