Sealed proposals will be received by the Village of Wauconda for the construction of the 2026 Street Improvement Project. The work includes over 50,000 square yards of HMA milling; over 10,000 tons of HMA roadway installation; 4,400 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement; 6,300 square feet of concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, including ADA ramps; guardrail installation; utility adjustments; pavement markings; and site restoration. Each proposal must be submitted on the proper forms contained in the contract documents and must be accompanied by a certified check, cash, bid bond, or an acceptable form of proposal guaranty in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the proposal amount, payable to the order of the Village of Wauconda. The successful bidder at the time of execution of the contract will be required to deposit a contract bond for the full amount of the award. When a contract bond is not required, the proposal guaranty check will be held in lieu thereof. If this proposal is accepted and the undersigned fails to execute a contract and contract bond as required, it is hereby agreed that the Bid Bond of check shall be forfeited to the Awarding Authority.
