THE PARTIAL STRUCTURAL REPAIR OF AN EXTERIOR RAMP LOCATED AT SOMERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL. THIS PROJECT SCOPE INCLUDES A NEW EXTERIOR GRADE COATING ON RAMP (TO MEET CODE SLIP RESISTANCE REQUIREMENTS) AND FENCING MODIFICATIONS. REPAIR ALSO INCLUDES REMOVAL OF EXISTING AREAS WITH SPALLING CONCRETE, PRIMING REBAR WITH LATEX BONDING AGENTS, AND PATCHING WITH A TWO-COAT MORTAR UNDERLAYMENT AND/OR POLYMER-MODIFIED, HIGH-PERFORMANCE CONCRETE WITH CORROSION INHIBITOR. The project is for Exterior Ramp Repair & Restoration at Somerville High School, including all incidental work. Bids are invited for a Single Overall Contract. The bidder must be classified in DPMC: C009 as of the date and time of the bid opening. Bid proposals must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a separate sealed envelope for each contract, addressed to the Owner, bearing the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked with the contract title and/or bid number on the outside of the envelope. Each proposal must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the Owner, equal to 10% of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000), and a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the surety company to provide NJ Statutory Performance and Payment Bonds for the full contract amount if awarded. The Consent of Surety must be executed by an approved surety company authorized in New Jersey. Bidder and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and possess a current certificate prior to the bid date. Contractors and subcontractors must also provide a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award. This project is subject to the New Jersey State Prevailing Wage Act. No bidder on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders may participate. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening. The right is reserved to reject all bids or waive minor informalities.
