Renovation of a mixed-use development in Montville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
The scope of work includes the replacement of existing unit ventilators, installation of new condensers, and other associated HVAC upgrades. The full details and extent of the project are defined in the Contract Documents. Bidders must submit a lump sum price for the entire project, covering all trades and work required. Bidders are required to be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the HVACR category (C032), and must also be prequalified or include documentation for prequalified subcontractors in the Structural Steel & Ornamental Iron (C029) and Electrical (C047) categories. All major branches of work, as specified by the relevant statutes, must be prequalified. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification from the DPMC and an Affidavit regarding uncompleted contracts for the bidder and all listed subcontractors. Bidders must not alter or modify the provided Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions, or Specifications, except as allowed by addenda. Proposals with modifications will be deemed non-responsive and rejected. Bidders must comply with various statutory requirements, including affirmative action laws and workforce reporting, and must submit a Statement of Ownership, Business Registration Certificate, and affidavits regarding debarment status. Bids must include bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Montville Township Board of Education, equal to 10% of the bid amount but not exceeding $20,000, as well as a Certificate of Consent of Surety. Additional bonds may be required from the successful bidder. The lowest responsible bidder will be awarded the contract, subject to the right to reject non-responsive bids or all bids as deemed in the Board's interest. Should any error, omissions, inconsistencies, or obscure wording appear or occur in the Drawings and Specifications, or should there be any discrepancies between Drawings and Specifications, the Bidder shall, before submitting its bid, apply to the Architect in writing for an interpretation and determination of the intent of the Drawings and Specifications Question Deadline 04/02/2026 at 5:00 PM ET
