Renovation of a mixed-use development in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

For the following contracts: Contract No. 3-Mechanical Construction Each Bidder must deposit a Bid Security. As bid security, each proposal shall be accompanied by Certified Check or Bid Bond made out to Owner, The Binghamton City School District reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject all Bids without explanation. By Order Of: Binghamton City School District Question Deadline 04/07/2026 at 4:00 PM ET Provide every request for such interpretation in writing, addressed to CSArch, Attention: Jamie Berkeley-Hartjen, email: jberkeley-hartjen@csarchpc.com, with the subject line filled out to read "Binghamton City School District - 2024 Capital Project". The Project includes site renovations and improvements, new sanitary system, masonry restoration, window and roof replacement, interior renovations and upgrades, fire alarm replacement and upgrades, mechanical renovations and upgrades, plumbing renovations and upgrades, and electrical renovations and upgrades. CONTRACT NO. 3 - MECHANICAL A. Drawing and Specification sections listed above as applicable to all contracts. B. The Mechanical Contractor shall be responsible for all work shown on the Mechanical (M) Drawings and any mechanical work shown on all other drawings and specifications and further defined below: 1. Division 2 - Existing Conditions a. The Mechanical Contractor to be responsible for all demolition of items shown on Mechanical drawings as well as all mechanical connections to equipment or devices to be demolished by other contractors. 2. Division 7 - Roofing a. Coordinate with the General Contractor and ensure all mechanical penetrations have been sealed and are weather tight. All mechanical components provided by the mechanical contractor including, but not limited to curbs shall be fully coordinated with the general contractor to ensure system compatibility. 3. Division 22 - Plumbing a. Specification Section 22 10 05 - Plumbing Piping And Specialties limited to: 1) Final connections of equipment condensate made by Mechanical Contractor. Storm Water taps provided and installed by Plumbing Contractor. 4. Division 23 - Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) - All included 5. Division 26 - Electrical a. Specification Section 26 29 23 - Variable-Frequency Motor Controllers 6. Division 31 - Earthwork a. All excavation and backfill for interior trenching work associated with this scope will be performed by the General Construction Contractor including but not limited to Cutting concrete, removing, excavating, backfill, compaction and concrete install. 1) Mechanical Contractor to coordinate with GC 2) Controllers to be furnished, inventoried, and delivered to site to meet the schedule by the Mechanical Contractor. 3) Installation and final connections by Electrical Contractor. C. Furnish and install all labor, material, supervision, equipment, scaffolding, layout, engineering, deliveries, trucking, hoisting, rigging, shop drawings, submittals, and all other items related and required to complete all Mechanical Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and all applicable codes having jurisdiction D. Mechanical Contractor is responsible for temporary heating, cooling and ventilation inside the building throughout the duration of the project. E. The Contractor represents they have expertise in the performance of Work for this trade and assures all items to be complete, functional and installed in accordance with the best practices consistent with premium quality material and workmanship.
