Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Wauchula, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 10-room transportation facility.

The work consists of airport construction to be performed by qualified contractors for the design/build of 10-unit T-hangars. The project includes, but is not limited to: finalizing, signing/sealing, and submitting design plans for T-hangar building structures, foundations, and site work for review and approval; obtaining building, fire, site, and any other required permits from the City of Wauchula and Hardee County; procuring PEMB, components, cladding, all other materials, and paying all taxes; constructing 10-unit T-hangar building structures and foundations, including electrical, fire alarms, smoke detectors, mechanical, plumbing, and backup power supplies as specified for a turnkey facility; constructing civil and electrical site work, pursuant to all local and state laws, codes, and Florida Department of Transportation rules and regulations. The engineer will obtain FAA and SWFWMD permits prior to Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted using forms furnished by the Owner, including one original, one hardcopy, and a digital scan, in sealed envelopes with the bid title and FDOT FPN number clearly marked. A certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid amount, along with performance and payment bonds for 100% of the bid price each, is required. Bid documents require registration through AVCON, Inc. All bids must be prepared as per the instructions provided. The Owner reserves the right to award or reject any combination of bid schedules/alternates most advantageous to the Owner, price and other factors considered. The contract is subject to E-Verify requirements and Buy American provisions. A general one-year project warranty certificate is required, in addition to manufacturer warranties. The successful bidder must provide a detailed schedule of values for all vertical construction items prior to award.
