The work consists of supplying all labor and materials necessary for construction of the Summerhaven Drive Drainage Improvements, including excavation, cleaning, site grading, curb and gutter removal and replacement, drainage inlet installation, concrete flume installation, and installation of rip rap and geotextile fabric along an existing drainage ditch adjacent to Summerhaven Drive in the City of Columbus. This outline does not limit the Contractor's responsibility to perform all work and furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings. Each contractor submitting a bid in excess of $50,000.00 must show on the bid and the envelope the Certificate of Responsibility Number as required by Section 31-3-21 and 21-3-15, Mississippi Code of 1972. If the bid does not exceed $50,000.00, this must be noted on the envelope. No bid will be considered without this information. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited with the City of Columbus prior to the designated time and date. No bidder may withdraw the bid within ninety (90) days after opening. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Columbus, as bid security. The successful bidder must provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bid documents are available via digital or paper copy and are non-refundable. Electronic bids shall be submitted through the specified website. The City of Columbus reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities.
