Site work for a water / sewer project in Logansport, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work for Division A includes the installation of 9,550 lineal feet of new 12-inch and 200 lineal feet of new 16-inch water mains via open cut, jack and bore approximately 250 lineal feet of 30-inch steel casing with 12-inch water main across State Road 25 (Hoosier Heartland Highway), directional drilling of approximately 1,100 lineal feet of new 12-inch and 700 lineal feet of new 18-inch HDPE water main, installation of gate valves, fire hydrant assemblies, and all other appurtenances as indicated on the plans, as well as a new pre-engineered packaged booster station with site piping, site fencing, a new access drive, all related electrical, controls, and site restoration. Also included is the disinfection of approximately 20,300 feet of existing 8-inch and 12-inch water mains, valves, and elevated storage tank in the Cass County Agribusiness Park. Additional work includes driveway and pavement replacement, erosion control, restoration, and seeding, and all other required work. The scope of work for Division B includes installation of 6,500 lineal feet of new 12-inch water main via open cut, installation of gate valves, fire hydrant assemblies, all other appurtenances as indicated on the plans, pavement replacement, erosion control, restoration and seeding, and all other required work. Instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the project title and the bidder's name and address, using the bid forms in the contract documents and specifications. - Each bid must include a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to the Owner in a sum not less than 5% of the highest aggregate bid. - Approved performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price, executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required upon execution of the contract and must be valid for the contract term plus 12 months from substantial completion. - The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. - Bids may be withdrawn before the scheduled opening but not for sixty days after closing. - Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. - Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations and are responsible for inspecting the project site and reviewing contract documents and specifications. - Bids must include all information requested by Indiana Form 96, including a financial statement, and be submitted on the forms included with the specifications. - The Owner may investigate bidders' qualifications and reserves the right to reject a bid if the bidder is not properly qualified. - Further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and award are in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents.
