Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Lake Placid, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
Sealed proposals are requested for the construction of the "Reconstruct Runway 14-32 Lighting & Signage" contract at the Lake Placid Airport, Lake Placid, New York. The project generally includes the removal and replacement of existing runway 14-32 edge lights, threshold lights, and all guidance signs on the runway lighting circuit, as well as the replacement of all associated light bases, cable, and conduit. The runway constant current regulator will also be replaced in the electrical vault. Bidders should be prepared to commence work in the Spring of 2027 and note that no work shall occur between June 15 and September 15. The contract does not allow for price increases due to escalation in unit bid items, and bid prices must be held for the anticipated start of construction. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent of the total maximum proposal price. The DBE plan must be submitted with the bid. Only proposals from those recorded on the plan holders list will be considered responsive. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all proposals.
