Installation must use energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable equipment, such as one to one mini split heat pump systems. The project also includes proper ventilation, air quality control, and may incorporate smart thermostats or building automation options. Bids should include a detailed project plan with phases, timelines, and milestones; equipment/material specifications; cost estimates for labor, materials, permits, and contingencies; warranties and maintenance plan options; proposed safety protocols and project management approach; and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety requirements. Interested bidders must be licensed, bonded, and insured in Michigan, have a minimum of five years' experience in commercial or educational facility upgrades, and provide references from similar completed projects. Bidders must demonstrate the capacity to complete all work on time and within budget, and submit: company name, address, contact information, executive summary, detailed scope of services with itemized pricing, project timeline, relevant certifications and proof of insurance, and a portfolio of previous work.
