Ozarka College in Melbourne, Arkansas will accept sealed Contractor Bids for the Administration Building Reroof. Each proposal shall be contained within a sealed envelope clearly identified with the project's name and contractor's name. The location for the bid opening will be in the Conference Room of the Administration Building at 218 College Drive, Melbourne, Arkansas. The Owner supervises the bidding and awarding of all construction contracts, approves contracts, change orders, and requests for payment. A mandatory pre-bid meeting for General Contractors will be held at the project site. Contract documents may be examined in the office of Architecture Plus, Inc. or in designated plan rooms. A complete electronic set of contract documents may be obtained from the office of the Architect by emailing a designated contact. Technical questions pertaining to the Work shall be directed to the specified architect during the bidding process. All bidding questions, bid submissions, and Owner-issued RFP procedures shall be directed to the specified Ozarka College contact. Obtaining contract documents through any source other than Architecture Plus, Inc. is not advisable. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in excess of $20,000. The successful bidder on construction that exceeds $20,000 shall provide a performance and payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, which must be filed in the county where the work is performed before authorization to proceed is granted. All bidders must conform to the requirements of the Arkansas State Licensing Law for General Contractors and be licensed on the day of bid opening. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the bid date.
