Site work for a water / sewer project in Butler, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves installing a new storm sewer line from Jefferson Street to East Pearl Street. It includes the removal of existing storm pipe and storm structures, supplying and installing reinforced concrete elliptical pipe and slcpp pipe of various sizes, PennDOT type M inlets, PennDOT oversized boxes, 4” concrete, concrete curbs, paving restoration of a state road, traffic control, resident notification, and restoration. Proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked with 'Monroe Street Storm Sewer.' Proposals must be submitted on the forms within the specifications. Performance and labor and material payment bonds or a certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract, as well as required insurance certificates, must be filed with the executed agreement. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond in an amount equal to 10% of the proposal as a guarantee. The contract is a unit price contract and is subject to prevailing wage rates. Liquidated damages apply at $200 per calendar day per contract. The city reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof and to waive any informality.
