Sealed proposals are requested for the following items: 110,587 square yards of milling of asphalt; 25,821 square yards of base repairs, in place; 3,614 tons of asphalt scratch and leveling course, 9.5mm, in place; 42,794 tons of asphalt wearing course, 9.5mm, in place. Prevailing wage rates apply. Liquidated damages are set at $975.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the Municipality. For third class cities, bids must include a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the bid amount, payable to the municipality. For other municipal types, this is at the municipality's discretion. A performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract amount must be provided by the successful bidder within 20 days of contract award. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
