As of May 1, 2026, project is awarded to Geneva Construction Company in the amount of $2,012,975.73. The proposed improvements will be completed on Berman Road, Jorstad Drive, Kelley Drive, Leonard Lane, McDuffee Circle, Plante Road, Sterkel Road, and Western Drive. The project will include preparation of base (47,221 SY), full depth hot-mix asphalt pavement removal 4" (47,221 SY), hot-mix asphalt binder course, IL-19.0, N50 (6,208 TON), hot-mix asphalt surface course, Mix "D", N50 (4,820 TON), combination concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement (7,319 FT), sidewalk removal (26,045 SF), PCC sidewalk 5 inch (27,125 SF), detectable warnings (720 SF), inlet adjustments (90 EA), HMA driveway (1,639 SY), and landscape restoration (3,416 SY). Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond from a company with an A-1 best rating, or a cashier's check in the amount of five percent of the total bid made payable to the Village of North Aurora. All bidders must be pre-qualified with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The Village of North Aurora reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in the bids received. All applicable laws, ordinances, resolutions, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply throughout, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, the Illinois Preference Act, and an Apprenticeship Training Program certified by the USDOL.
