All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and comply with every requirement in the instructions and specifications. Bids must be marked in a sealed envelope with the project name and delivered to the specified address. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid, not to exceed $20,000. Bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and provide proof of registration and business certification. A W-9 tax form must also be included. Bidders or their subcontractors must be classified in General Construction (C008) or General Construction - Alterations & Additions (C009). Compliance with affirmative action and anti-discrimination laws is required. The project may be funded partially by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority, and contractors must agree to grant agreement terms. No one on debarred, suspended or disqualified bidder lists may participate. It is strongly recommended that bidders attend the pre-bid conference for clarification of project details and bid requirements. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities if in their best interest.
