Question Deadline 07/14/2026 at 12:00 PM ET All questions or issues for clarification and addendum acknowledgements must be submitted to massdotspecifications@dot.state.ma.us The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is soliciting Letters of Interest from parties interested in the Request for Qualifications package for the design-build project: Bourne Bridge Replacement, B-17-005 (Arf) (Sagamore Bridge), US 6 over the Cape Cod Canal. The scope of work includes final design and construction of new twin bridges at the Sagamore crossing of the Cape Cod Canal. The new bridge structures will be located to the west of the existing Sagamore Bridge necessitating the realignment of Route 6 and Route 3 within the project limits. The scope of work also includes, but is not limited to, the design and construction of local street connections to Route 6 and Route 3, including portions of Cranberry Highway, Mid Cape Connector, Sandwich Road, Scenic Highway, Meetinghouse Lane, Eleanor Avenue, State Road, and Canal Street. In addition, the Sagamore Bridge Project encompasses the design and construction of multiple intersections and roundabouts, a network of shared-use paths and sidewalks, and new traffic signals. Other project elements include, but not limited to, Survey, Geotechnical Design, Utility Relocations and Coordination, Traffic Engineering, Pavement Markings and Signage, Landscaping, Environmental Permitting and Compliance, Street Lighting, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Stormwater Management, support of MassDOT's Public Outreach and Coordination, and Hazardous Materials Assessment & Remediation.
