Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Terrace, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Proponents shall submit a lump sum proposal to complete the critical mitigation work. The City may consider alternative methods where the intent of the work is met within the available budget, work scope, and schedule. A. Demolition & Remediation (Critical Priority) 1. Remove or retrofit to ensure safety of the two large half-pipe structures, including saw-cutting, demolition, disposal, grading, and edge treatment. Electrical work scope will be for City of Terrace. 2. Remove the banked retaining wall feature presenting a fall-height hazard and restore grades and surfaces to today's safety standards. 3. Remove the deteriorated concrete addition at the top of the roll-in bank and restore a continuous riding surface. 4. Assess and mitigate the areas of "Moderate concern" as per Appendix A. B. Localized Concrete & Steel Repairs 5. Grind, patch, and repair cracked, spalled, or uneven concrete and asphalt interfaces creating catch or trip hazards. 6. Repair or replace exposed or deteriorated steel coping and anchors to ensure smooth and secure transitions.
