Notice is hereby given that the governing board of the Santa Ana Unified School District will receive sealed bids for the project titled Mitchell Child Development Center Roof Replacement, Bid Package: 01- Roofing. The Project is subject to the Community Workforce Agreement for Construction, Repair, Upgrade, Renovation, Modernization, Expansion, Rehabilitation and Improvement Work Projects dated June 27, 2017 between the District and various labor unions. The successful bidder and its subcontractors are required to be bound by the terms of the CWA section 00 73 49. Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, are available at Crisp Imaging for bidders. The District will conduct a mandatory informational job walk and conference at Mitchell Child Development Center, 3001 Harvard St., Santa Ana, CA 92704, meeting at the flagpole The following contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified prior to bidding on this Project: All Prime Contractor Bidders, per Public Contract Code Section 20111.6; with the following license classifications: A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-39, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46. Mechanical, electrical, or plumbing Subcontractors performing work under the following license classifications: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46. 12. As security for its bid, each bidder shall provide with its bid form A bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, Cash, or A cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Santa Ana Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. This bid security shall be a guarantee that the Bidder shall, within five (5) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. 13. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100 % Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. 14. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The District's Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made.
