Renovation of an educational facility in Fairfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of replacement and restoration of roofing materials at Rodriguez High School. All bids must be on the form provided, and each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent contract documents, including the instructions to bidders. To bid on this project, the bidder is required to possess a State of California C-39 (Roofing Contractor) license, which must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and through the term of the contract. Each bidder must provide a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the district's form, cash, or a cashier’s or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price as security for the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The bidder and its subcontractors must pay workers no less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit to be eligible. Failure to attend or tardiness will render a bid ineligible. All bids are to be received by the specified deadline, and any claim of error must comply with Public Contract Code § 5100, et seq. The district reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening for bids except as provided pursuant to Public Contract Code section 5100, et seq.
