Renovation of a residential development in Cathedral City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The work consists of furnishing all supervision and labor, materials, necessary equipment and tools, utility work, traffic control, and public services coordination required for the completion of the project. The proposed improvements include the filling of wide cracks with mastic asphalt binder and crack seal application on narrow cracks. All work and resulting facilities must fully conform to the currently adopted Coachella Valley State Implementation Plan (CVSIP) for PM-10, including Best Management Practices during the construction process. The location for the scope of work is the Dream Homes Neighborhood, bounded by Mission Drive, San Joaquin Drive, San Diego Drive, and San Mateo Drive, in Cathedral City. All project work and incidental items to complete the project shall be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other provisions of the contract, constructed in a workmanlike manner, and left in a neat and presentable condition. The project is to be completed within twenty (20) working days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The contractor shall not begin any construction activity at the site before the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bid security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount is required. The successful bidder must furnish a Labor and Materials bond and a Faithful Performance Bond each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with California Department of Industrial Relations requirements, including prevailing wage, registration, and electronic certified payroll records. The contractor and all subcontractors must have a current business license with the city, appropriate contractor's license(s), and the Prime Contractor must perform not less than 51% of the contract work.
