Sealed Proposals for Firethorne Area Street Rehabilitation The Work shall consist of, but not be limited to, removal and construction of concrete hardscapes such as: access ramps, driveway approaches, sidewalk, and curb/gutter; removal and construction of new asphalt concrete pavement, adjustment of valve boxes, water pollution control, and all related work. The time of completion of contract shall be fifty (50) working days as defined in the Standard Specifications for Public Works, 2024 Edition. Liquidated Damages, as defined in the referenced specifications, Section 6-9, shall be $2,400 per calendar day. For this contract, the contractor shall possess Class A license at the time the bid is submitted. Contractor shall take note of the following dates and milestones. Contractor will take full responsibility for completing all precursory requirements necessary for this issuance. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, or certified check, or cashier's check, made payable to the City of Fullerton, for an amount equal to at least 10% of the bid amount, such guarantee to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. A digital copy of the security shall be uploaded as part of the bid submittal with the three apparent lowest bidders required to submit original hard copies to the City within three (3) working days of bidding opening.
