The scope of work included under - Elevated Water Storage Tank and Valve Vault includes installation of a level control valve vault at the existing Raccoon Elevated Water Storage Tank. The project also includes approximately 100 linear feet of relocation and abandonment of existing waterline connecting the distribution system to the elevated water storage tank; as well as installation of SCADA provisions for monitoring the Raccoon Elevated Water Storage Tank, Raccoon Booster Station and First Alley Booster Station at the existing Water Filtration Plant. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all General Construction in accordance with the Contract Documents. Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. Any technical questions regarding the bid documents are to be directed to LSSE. The Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies.
