Site work and paving for a civil project in Burlington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
In General the work to be performed under this contract inculdes the full depth Reconstruction of approximately 1,960 linear feet (l.F.) of case road & 700 l.F. Of Punch brook road and mill and overlay 143 (l.F.) of george washington turnpike (indluding but not limited to the installation of new hma pavement, base, Bituminous curbing, retaining walls, roadway drainage systems, outlets, and Other related roadway appurtenances), and the reconstruction of driveway Aprons, installation of erosion control measures, topsoil and turf establishment. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in The form of a certified check or bid bond, in an amount equal to five percent of The amount bid. Bid security shall be made payable to the town of burlington and Shall be properly executed by the bidder. At the time of contract signage, separate 100 percent performance and 100 percent payment bonds will be provided to the Town of burlington. (25% of the work with das certified small and minority owned businesses and 25% Of that work with das certified minority, women and/or disabled owned Businesses.) the contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% Set-aside goals. The town of burlington reserves the right to waive Informalities or to reject any and all of the bids and to award the project in the Town's opinion its best interests will be served.
