Site work for a transportation facility in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

Construction plans, specifications, and contract documents may be obtained digitally from the offices of the Savannah Airport Commission for a cost of $25.00. Please reference the SAC Job ID 30650 when requesting these documents. The cost is non-refundable, and checks should be made payable to the Savannah Airport Commission. All questions must be submitted via email to cmercado@flysav.com. A pre-bid conference will be held in-person at the Savannah Airport. The pre-bid conference is non-mandatory. Questions Due Date: Apr 14th 2026, 12:00 PM EDT All questions must be submitted via email to cmercado@flysav.com. The project consists of the following development items: Demolition of existing asphalt and concrete apron, driveways, and parking lots Demolition of Building 1223 and FedEx Facility Demolition of existing security fence and utilities impacted by construction Construction of new 12" Concrete Aircraft Apron to support future aviation development in the southeast quadrant. Modifications to existing sanitary sewer and water lines impacted by construction Construction of Airport Operations Area (AOA) Security Fence and Access Gate Construction of appropriate drainage system, earthwork, and sodding. C. Construction Safety and Phasing Plan 1. Coordination A preconstruction conference will be scheduled prior to any construction activities. The CSPP as well as other safety and phasing issues will be discussed at this time. Attendees will include: Airport Operations, FAA ATCT, Airline representatives, Contractor's key staff, the Engineer, Construction Management/Inspection team, and other stakeholders that may be impacted by the work. All parties will be alerted of the potential safety concerns and operational impacts as well as taxilane and apron closures during construction. At a minimum, the pre-construction meeting will include applicable agenda items per AC 150/5370-12B, Appendix D. a). Contractor Program Meetings: Weekly construction progress meetings will be held during the project. Any upcoming impacts to operations as well as any changes from what was discussed at the preconstruction conference will be addressed during these meetings. Operational safety should be a standing agenda item for discussion during progress meetings throughout the project developmental stages. b). Scope or Schedule Changes: Scope or schedule changes will be a subject of the weekly progress meetings. If changes in scope or schedule are required at the request of the Airport or by unforeseen conditions, they must be addressed accordingly per contract requirements and the CSPP will be updated to reflect the changes. Changes must be approved by the Airport. Changes will be coordinated with the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and affected tenants. c). FAA ATO Coordination: FAA will be copied on all correspondence and FAA ATCT will be invited to attend weekly progress meetings. Phase 2 - 270 Calendar Days (Concurrent to Phase 1 work) o Phase 3 – 270 Calendar Days (Concurrent to Phase 2 work)
