This project consists of the replacement of approximately 4,145 square feet of 4-inch sidewalk along West Avenue between W. 55th Street and W. 51st Street. The work also includes curb ramp replacement, reconstruction of deteriorated curb and gutter, and construction of pedestrian crossings at the intersection of West Avenue and W. 38th Street. Each bidder must provide a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and comply with prevailing wage requirements. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "WEST AVENUE SIDEWALKS" with the contractor's contact information. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding. The project must be completed within forty-five days of the "Notice to Proceed" date. All contractors and subcontractors must, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor, and comply with equal employment opportunity requirements. The bid opening is public, and bid totals will be recorded and signed by City representatives.
