The work consists of resurfacing multiple streets in the Village of Deshler, including minor pavement repairs, walks and curb ramps, minor curb work, manhole and valve box adjustments, and pavement markings. All labor, materials, tools, machinery, and appliances necessary for the construction are required. Contractors must be ODOT prequalified. The project is classified as a Local Public Agency project administered by the Village of Deshler with Ohio Department of Transportation providing oversight. The SBE goal is 6 percent. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates and submit an affidavit of compliance per Ohio Revised Code Section 3517.13. Performance bond, maintenance bond, and certificates of insurance are required prior to contract execution. The Village of Deshler reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the project to the lowest and best bidder, as well as to adjust quantities as needed. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Instructions to bidders: All bids must be signed and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked for the project and addressed to the Deshler Mayor, including the name of each person, firm, or corporation interested in the bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for 10% of the bid amount as a guarantee of contract execution if accepted. Bids received after the deadline or not accompanied by an acceptable bond or check will not be read or considered. Plans and contract documents are available from Proudfoot Associates upon non-refundable payment, and are also available at the Builders Exchange plan room. Bidders must submit the required affidavit and certify compliance with all federal and state requirements as indicated in the contract documents.
