The scope of work includes removal and replacement of the existing fire alarm control panel with a new Notifier N16X system; removal and replacement of all existing ONYXWorks workstations with new workstations compatible with the N16X system; removal and replacement of all fire alarm field power supplies with new units as required for system compatibility and capacity; installation of two new special hazards clean agent suppression systems to serve two designated server rooms, including all detection, releasing, notification, control equipment, and system integration with the fire alarm system; and removal and replacement of existing beam smoke detectors located in tower pods with new devices compatible with the new fire alarm system. Bidders must submit one unbound original and two copies. Bids from corporations not chartered in Georgia must include proper certification for authorization to do business in Georgia. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty days after opening. The contract must be completed within the allowable calendar days from the "Notice to Proceed" date; late completion may incur a penalty of $500 per day. A five percent bid bond is required with the bid. The successful contractor must provide a one hundred percent payment and performance bond as well as insurance that meets specified criteria. All bonds must be submitted on Gwinnett County-provided forms, and bonding/insurance agencies must meet outlined standards. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bid. Gwinnett County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, split or award bids in entirety, and negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s).
