Sealed bids are requested for the Water Treatment Plant Boiler Replacement. Bids must be submitted for the replacement of the current Water Treatment Plant H.B. Smith Series 18 cast iron boiler. Bids shall be received at the office of the purchasing agent, City of Oneida, until the specified deadline. Bids must be submitted in an envelope marked "Water Treatment Plant Boiler Replacement." Each bid must include cash, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Project Bid Amount, as well as completed Statement of Surety's Intent and Non-Collusive Bidding Certification forms. Bidders must comply with New York State Labor Law Sections 220 through 223 regarding maximum hours, prevailing wages, certified payrolls, and posting wage rates at the project site. The successful bidder is responsible for labor law compliance by subcontractors. Bidders are also required to review and assess their and their subcontractors' ability to comply with all insurance provisions. The City reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids.
