Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only. Official sets must be obtained from McKee and Associates to bid. Sealed proposals are requested for interior improvements at Troy Elementary School for Troy City Schools in Troy, Alabama. All contractors bidding on this project are required to visit the site and examine all existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal. General liability and workman's compensation insurance are required. The project is to be bid excluding taxes, and bids may be submitted on the contractor's letterhead. After the scheduled deadline for receiving bids, no bid may be withdrawn for ninety days. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if judged to be in the owner's best interest. A certified check or bid bond payable to Troy City Schools in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at contract signing. Bidders exceeding the amount established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the relevant provisions of Alabama law and show evidence of such license on the outside of the sealed proposal envelope. Addendums will be provided to entities that have confirmed bidding for this project. Printed sets of documents may be requested, and must be returned in reusable condition within ten days after bidding. All RFIs and RFAs regarding bid documents must be submitted via emails found on forms in the project manual. Only these forms will be accepted; telephone or fax inquiries will not be accepted. Contractor will work from a purchase order form issued by the owner. Completion time must be stated in the proposal. Contractor must ensure proper supervision of all work.
