The Hornell Gateway Corridor Project is a major New York State Department of Transportation initiative to reconstruct and modernize a nearly three-mile segment of State Route 36 between the City of Hornell and the Town of Hornellsville. The $64.1 million multi-phase effort includes full roadway rehabilitation, intersection reconfiguration, new drainage systems, upgraded traffic signals, a new multi-use pedestrian and bicycle path, bridge repairs, guiderail replacement, lighting improvements, and enhanced connections to regional trail systems
