The work involves concrete sidewalk construction and repairs for the Town of Franklin, Massachusetts, for the term May 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026. Sealed bids are required and must be submitted on the provided form. Bidders must have at least five years of experience in concrete construction and provide evidence of having performed this type of service. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and eligible bidder, who must possess the skill, ability, and integrity necessary for faithful performance, and must be able to furnish labor that can work in harmony with all others involved in the work. The Town reserves the right to award one contract for all items or separate contracts for the lowest price per item, to waive informalities, and to reject any portion of a bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of five percent of the bid price. The successful contractor must submit a Labor and Materials Payment Bond for fifty percent of the contract amount within ten days of award notification. All bids must be FOB delivery point, Franklin, MA. The Town of Franklin is exempt from Massachusetts Sales Tax and will provide evidence of exemption upon request. Vendors may be required to maintain records for six years and assist with future audit requirements. Bidders must follow all submission instructions, including bid form completion, sealing and addressing of bids, acknowledgment of addenda, and withdrawal procedures. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty days after opening except by mutual consent.
