The Mercer County Solid Waste Authority (MCSWA) is seeking bids for ten mobile wind fence units that meet or exceed specified requirements. The units must have overall minimum dimensions of 24 feet long, 15 feet high, and 8 feet wide, with a weight of 3600 lbs. Units should include net mesh made from heavy gauge welded wire, galvanized and vinyl coated with a 1.5-inch square opening; the back net should be reinforced with 3/16-inch stainless steel coated aircraft cable connected to the frame. A minimum of four diagonal cross cables is required. The units must allow for the option of outrigger use, with outriggers built into the frame for stability and able to extend to a depth of 15 feet with three depth settings. Units must be portable and capable of connecting via a factory installed adjustable lift adapter to any standard payloader bucket, 826 CAT landfill compactor, or standard D6N CAT bulldozer blade, and be capable of lifting from the front or rear. Lifting hooks must have vertical height adjustment from a minimum of 6 feet 9 inches to a maximum of 12 feet, with horizontal hook adjustment in five increments from 11 inches to 2 feet 7 inches. Uprights must be constructed from 4" x 2" x 1/8" rectangular steel or equivalent. Units are to be delivered covered in enamel paint and must include a heavy litter control panel with two side wing nets and a canopy. Units must be designed for 70 MPH winds and to force litter down to the bottom. A minimum five-year warranty and delivery to the designated address are required. Approved equal wind fence net configurations will be considered. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Mobile Wind Fence Units". The MCSWA reserves the right to reject all bids.
