Renovation of a parking garage in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Work comprises the following: Localized “thick” system repairs at areas of leakage and leakage staining. Includes asphalt and waterproofing membrane removal, surface preparation of exposed concrete substrate, new waterproof membrane and asphalt wearing surface, application of surface sealer at repair areas. Scraping and painting of soffit areas below “thick” system repair areas are also required. Provide shoring to support asphalt paving equipment, as necessary. Replacement of expansion joint assembly at one designated area, including new reinforcing concrete joint nosing. Includes required concrete removal and new reinforced concrete and steel angle nosing, new PUMA traffic deck coating system on expansion joint nosing surfaces, adjacent “thick” system removal and replacement to allow for waterproofing tie-ins, and asphalt surface sealer to asphalt repair areas. Removal of existing expansion joint gland seal assembly where noted on Drawings, and new pre-compressed hybrid foam compression seal joint. Includes vertical upturns and required surface preparation. Localized asphalt crack repairs at Level 5 and exterior portion of Level 2. Includes routing and sealing of existing cracks. Bonding required as per specification. Submit bids to the Prime Consultant. Obtain bid documents from BuildWorks Canada.
