The work consists of furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work required for the resurfacing and roadway improvements to Polk Lane for a total project length of 1.555 miles, as specified in the plans. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked with "Bid - Polk Lane - Resurfacing & Roadway Improvements." Bids must be signed, submitted by the specified deadline, and will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bidders must have a current Tennessee Contractor's License, and must provide evidence of a license in the appropriate classification, including license number, expiration date, and license classification on the outside of the bid envelope. No award will be made to firms or individuals debarred by the State of Tennessee or the Federal Highway Administration. Plans and contract documents are available for examination at several locations or for purchase from Collier Engineering Company. The City of Mount Pleasant reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities or informalities, and accept proposals deemed to be in the City's best interest.
